WELL BE DAMNED, ITS GIVEAWAY TIME ! ! ! HEAD TO MY INSTAGRAM AT 8PM TONIGHT FOR HOW TO WIN ! ! !
CaseApp has given me free reign to design a selection of cases/ skins for iPhone and Mac. …..and here they are!
All created by me, from scratch and influenced by my university illustrations.
The decision to use my own designs was a natural one; the four years I spent at university often needs seriously crediting.
I learnt an incredible amount; not just academically, but also essential life lessons.
When I first started at Northumbria University, I felt inadequate. Which I appreciated was a completely normal feeling when you first start in a new environment. However, soon enough, Newcastle became my home from home. Everyone was ridiculously friendly, especially them taxi drivers; I still cannot understand them when they begin chatting about their life.
In terms of my actual course: the tutors immediately told us that they would be as supportive as they possibly could; four years through, and I can honestly say they most certainly did. From the beginning, we were all seen as equals; equal talent, equal opportunities, equal support. We all thrived, we prospered and we learnt a-bloody-lot!
If anyone has seen my first ever blog post, the last year at university was a shit-show (excuse the French). The pressure that we all put ourselves under to achieve perfect eventually broke me. Nevertheless, when it came to the outcome, it was a feeling like no other; rewarding doesn’t come close.
The amount of time and effort that were put into these digital illustrations, I feel it was only a matter of time before I started doing some serious showcasing of them. Every drawing was free-hand drawn, scanned in, touched up on photoshop, outlined again on illustrator using my Wacom Tablet, and then finally coloured in photoshop. So.. in short, it was a long-ass process for each!
I really do hope ya like them!
If you would like one of these, or to design your own… for FREE, then head over to my Instagram tonight night (5.10.17) at 8pm and follow the simple instructions!
